Talking to Julie

Julie is OraTek's AI assistant. Unlike a chatbot, she actually does things — searches your CRM, drafts emails, queues calls, posts to team chat, books meetings. 100+ live actions across the system.

How to open her

Sidebar: click the Julie panel on the right edge of any view.
Dashboard: she's center-screen as the primary input.
Keyboard: Cmd/Ctrl + K opens the global search; type a question and press Enter to escalate to Julie.

What she'll do without asking

Read actions run immediately — search leads, look at the pipeline, list teammates, check the dialer queue, read inbox, fetch calendar.

What needs your confirmation

Anything that writes to your data shows a confirmation dialog before firing:

Sending team messages or emails
Creating contacts, tasks, candidates
Adding people to the dialer queue
Updating deal stages, owners, or labels
Hiding lead types on the map

The dialog shows exactly what she'll do. Click Confirm to fire; she'll never silently send something on your behalf.

Resizing her panel

Grab the left edge of the Julie drawer and drag — it goes from ⅓ width to ⅔. Or use the ⅓ / ½ / ⅔ buttons in the header. Double-click the drag handle to reset to ⅓.

Chat history

Julie Chats (sidebar nav) lists every conversation you've had with her. Click one to reopen the thread. Rename or delete from the inline actions.

She's honest about gaps. If she can't see something (e.g. a current map state), she'll say so rather than guess. Believe her — the fix is usually adding context she lacks, not pushing harder.

Switching AI providers

Default: Anthropic Claude. To use OpenAI instead: Connections → AI assistant → paste an OpenAI key, choose model. The tool layer works identically; only inference changes.

What she can't do (yet)

Run code on your machine.
Read files outside the CRM (no local file access).
See the screen — she's text-only. Cowork-style screen reading is on the roadmap.
Send SMS (planned for Q3).
